Switch to Maple Syrup in your Baking and Cooking!

Everyone knows that maple syrup is the perfect accompaniment to pancakes, waffles, and French toast. But did you know that maple syrup is a healthier substitute for sugar when you bake and cook?

Maple syrup is a natural, unprocessed product made from tree sap — pure and free of additives or coloring. When substituting pure maple syrup for granulated sugars, use 3/4 cup of maple syrup for each cup of granulated sugar you are replacing. Compensate for the added liquid by reducing other liquid ingredients by about 1/4 cup. In salad dressings and other liquids, simply replace sugar with maple syrup instead.
